April 2013 Sadly our cat William (pictured above) passed away earlier this year.

And then he was gone,

He was very dear,

But now his life's done.

July 2015 GSD Sheeba Matthews, August 12th 2004 – Jan 30th 2015.

Our beloved German Shepherd Dog Sheeba (CCC “Appleridge’s Opal Bride”) died suddenly on Jan 30th 2015 at the age of 10.

Born in Ontario, she came to Bowen Island in 2006 and lived in Tunstall Bay with Peter and Susan Matthews. She was joined in 2010 by Cocker Spaniel Kaleigh and in 2013 by GSD Titan.
She was a true Bowen Island dog, she loved to walk in the woods and run on the beaches, and was often seen with the choir at The Little Red Church. She was a true and empathetic friend to us and the other two dogs. She enjoyed life right up to the end. Many thanks to all who eased her passing.
She was a true ambassador for her breed – much loved, and now playing at the Rainbow Bridge.

Aug / Sept 2015 Major redo of the sites internals (de "FrontPaging" for the websters amongst us) and resurrection of some stuff (notably some renovation pics) deleted for lack of room before storage got cheaper. Also added a "Holidays" page which now includes the previous "Christmas" page, and increasingly some vacation pictures.

Jan 2020 General update - particularly wrt Christmas letters which had lapsed a bit. Also the sad /good news of Kaleigh's passing and our aquisition of Sophia - another GSD from the same stable as Sheeba and Titan
